If Lent puts out, then Lent I do...

I eat the pancakes or something. Does that count?

          Can't be bothered.

Had to when I was younger.

The only reason I vaguely know when lent is , is due to earmarking pancake Tuesday in the calendar.

Didn't like ash Wednesday as you ended up with a black mark on your forehead which you weren't allowed to wash off.

            Lent can get bent.

I don't do god, unless it involves eating chocolate or getting drunk under the pretence of having a holiday
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

Gave up sweets/biscuits/cakes/sugar last Lent. As it happens, never started them again.

Incidentally, needs to be a vote for "sometimes".

                    Yes.

I'm giving up this ridiculous teetotal health binge that I've been on since January 1.

May even do it for more than 40 days
