List of songs not to be played after 9/11

    Didn't know about this list:

2001 Clear Channel memorandum - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

There's some weird things in there.

WTF is wrong with Satchmo's "Wonderful World"?

Though I suppose "Highway to Hell" by AC/DC might be a bit tactless.

Killing an Arab by The Cure is strangely absent
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

Never a hit in the US, only played on college radio stations (and some of them had it banned pre-9/11, anyway, because no one would get the Camus reference and would get offended by it).

So Smooth Criminal by Alien Ant Farm is not allowed

but Smooth Criminal by wacko jacko is not on the banned list?

When the first is a cover of the second this seems strange.

            hmmmmm

doh which it says on the page

I bet not many of these bands get past these lists:

50 of the worst, most outrageous, or just stupid band names...

50 more of the worst, most outrageous or just plain stupid band names ever

*customer returns at 3M, you'd think that they'd have had the consideration to write "Band on the Run" or "Wings" on the cassette itself.
Aw, Cracklin' Rosie, get on board

only LP we had to test the thousands of record players we repaired...
