    Destroying ancient historical sites :(

BBC News - IS 'destroying ancient Iraq site'

Seems IS aren't content slaughtering, thieving, raping and enslaving, but now they've taken to the destruction of irreplaceable historical sites in the name of their "god".

    Tragic, if incredibly predictable.

All standard routine for ignorant idealists, when people are stupid and complacent enough to let them gain a foothold

Hitler and Stalin did as much too. And others.

I can't care any more. I'm at the point that if any one tells me that they are not "true" Muslims or that Islam is the religion of peace, I'd have to try very hard not to laugh. But they're no worse than Christians have been through the ages.

They believe 'their' God to the same God as the 'national religion' of England which the Queen defends, who also as it happens have a pretty tough line on idolatry.

Catholics had no issue with physical representations of the Lord though, stations of the cross, statues of Mary, rosary beads and crucifixes. All good with us.

Do you know how much it costs to keep a Pope mobile on the road these days?
