    Day Trading

good innit, 3 pounds up today ...

My online broker now offers CFD trading.

Good fun just a demo account for now.

Might turn it into a real account and have a "flutter". I'm sure it loses its charm when you've been cleaned out

Thing I like is you can bet tiny amounts, just see it as a bit of fun.

You might try PMIng SantaClaus. He has been a day trader for a while. It was tough getting started for him....

Last Friday I set up a demo account with IG Trading, started trading at 11:00 am, lost 2 grand on my first Forex trade, so went into the FTSE, got back about a grand and then went off to lunch, came back and I was 10 grand down, left it for another couple of hours and went for a bike ride, came back, now 20 grand down...

Closed out the trade, filled up the demo account with 100 grand and went into the Dow Jones, left it there all evening, and by the end of the day I was even stevens.

        Good fun though

My conclusion it's a mugs game comparable with going in a casino, I was trading 100 points a time, way too much but with trades of 1 or 2 points you can keep the losses low, and have a flutter.

I can see why 90 % of day traders lose 90% of their money in 90 days.

Takes longer than a week to become a day trader, try 10k hours in front of a screen pissing in a bottle in-case you miss a trade. So I am told.

90% of people do trade like this, if you want to get it to work for you then you have to spend a lot of time learning and practicing and treat it like a business. Just like anything else.

Strong dollar, rate rise on cards for US = short the US indices. Buy the $.

Massive QE in Europe, debasing of the Euro = buy the relatively stronger Euro stock markets, Germany, France etc.
