Daytime beer session in Cardiff. First (and only) saturday afternoon home game in this years 6N.

International day in Cardiff is definitely something that should be on everyone's bucket list of things to do before you die IMHO. Even if you're not Welsh.

(As well as Edinburgh weekend Scotland v Wales)

Thanks for asking!

Today - am still a little unwell so no training :-( Although this is my week off anyway so erm .. yay? Also, I need to nurse the injuries I picked up from training yesterday. My right leg is plastered with bruises and is sore to walk on.

Tomorrow - take kids to gymnastics and then to town to buy something for Mrs MUN. After than probably entertaining the kids and looking after Mrs MUN (she is not well either).

Sunday - whatever Mrs MUN wants to do!

You?

CFA...

- just got back from Kaiserslautern from seeing an old friend of mine playing with his band (ex. Mannfred Mann, Pirates, Mick Taylor, etc.) which was rather a good evening (*). Now sitting down to do some accounting work for the Finanzamt (argh!!!) and then a teleconference with the guys in the USA. Hopefully that'll be finished as I have Kegel(ing) tonight
- the rest of the weekend will be spent doing more accounting work and getting ready for trip to DC next week so a really rather quiet one this time although I will crack open a German craft beer, an IPA (http://www.braufactum.de/) in fact, at some point, put my feet up and watch the footie

(* lining up the next time to see him which will be in July in a place called Meisenheim (http://www.ticket-regional.de/events_info.php?eventID=101198) where he'll be playing various blues music from Etta James to Cream. What's interesting is the venue, Meisenheimer Hof (http://www.meisenheimer-hof.de/startseite/), which is a rather nice wine hotel in the Pfalz and the venue is the old cinema (http://www.meisenheimer-hof.de/weinhotel/zimmer/im-kino/). There is no ceiling left but a retractable roof so as the weather will be nice, it can be opened out and the music will be under the stars plus they make their own schanpps and have gourmet food...)

I'm glad to hear that. We are off there tomorrow (early start for us) and I've been dreading that it will be utterly naff...

Sunday will be finding something to do and heading back up north...

Well we love it, loads of interesting stuff to look at loads of interesting companies/universities/projects and lots of free pens!
My daughter really looks forward to it (shes 14) and she feels at home there - she's an aspie science geek.
There are shows and demos too, but we usually forget to go to those :o

Hope you enjoy it

Travelled back from boys' ski trip in Italy with Junior to find my lovely wife had given her mother a Mother's Day gift of ME doing her mum's garden.

She's a wily fox, my missus. Vengeance being a dish best served cold, and all that.

Is that a euphemism? :tongue

And you?

I've driven from Land's End to John O'Groats over the last 24 hours :mad

Took 8 hours to get from Cambridge to Devon on friday, on account of some old timer having a turn at the wheel (physically and metaphorically) which closed the M4 (http://www.bathchronicle.co.uk/M4-crash-Elderly-couple-Southmead-Hospital-crash/story-26171988-detail/story.html)

Then driving for another 8 hours yesterday, to visit the aged Ps

God knows how people like taxi drivers and truckers drive for hours every day.

I've known the dealer principal in Glasgow Bentley for years, and once bought a used 745i from him that someone had traded in for Conti GT. He likes to organise an annual jolly for customers to the motor show (pay your own flights and hotels, but 40 quid on EasyJet is bearable) and he covers transport to and from the airports, show tickets and all access passes for all the big players.

As I bought a Bentley coffee mug last year I technically count as a customer :)

All access passes are definitely the way to go - most of the big boys have cars away from the public gaze in their hospitality areas. Free reign to browse as you sip the complimentary champers and munch the horses doovers.

Absolutely brilliant day out.
