Now we have to ware gloves at the ATM FFS

Hiding your hand while inputting the code on the ATM is no longer enough.

Card skimmers are now using a thermal imaging devices to pick up PINs from thermal signatures left on ATM keypads.
While standing in the queue the fraudster can also download their target’s card details using an RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) scanner app.
Card skimmers now use thermal imaging to steal your bank PINs

O’Connor said that concerned punters can take steps to confuse the thieves by simply allowing your fingertips to rest on random keys after completing a retail transaction, providing the fraudster with a misleading trail of buttons.
    Fiscal nomad it's legal.

Probably not a bad thing, those keypads are probably crawling with germs.

when I go to a cash point a normally scope about a bit to make sure there are no dodgy geezers hanging around...

never been robbed so far so must work!

I think however many still go for the more low tech "wait until they have got the money out and smack em on the head" approach

All cards still have magnetic strips for when the Chip and Pin doesn't work

Everybody has to make a living for goodness sake!

We all have bills to pay!

This thermal scanner for instance cost me (somebody) nearly £400.

It does make you paranoid when you have to use an ATM though, and the quick tills in shops are as bad.
