Has The Conservative Party betrayed Britain?

David Cameron heckled by long-serving Tory over failure to curb migration

Mike Howson, 59, from Staffordshire Morelands, shouted that Mr Cameron had 'betrayed the country' by failing to cut immigration

I'd agree with that. Sold out long, long ago to the Corporate interests. But apparently you have to vote to Tory to keep the evil Miliband out.

What do the esteemed CUKers think?

Politicians they're all a bunch of self serving c0ckwombles
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

Of course he and his colleagues have sold out, they're politicians, they will do pretty much anything/tell any lie to get into or retain power. Party affiliation is irrelevant.

Any patina of trustworthiness, integrity or honesty you detect on a politician is just carefully applied camouflage or sheer accident.

How can he curb immigration of EU citizens when the rules include the ability to migrate between countries.

The only way to curb immigration would be to be less successful than the rest of the EU...

Which goes some way to explain why Germany has more immigrants than the UK
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

Yep. The euro and its ability keep German export prices low ( remember that the mark continually strengthened against the franc and lies) has done Germany no harm.

Shame about the other Euro countries that didn't have the infrastructure to compete against Germany's efficiency.
