Election 2015: Cameron pledges 'paid volunteering leave'

    Employers would cover the cost.

    What an idiot.

How about tax breaks for companies? Preferably with a large tax on imported goods...

Indeed, large companies don't get enough tax breaks!

Surely you just read this as an increase in the mandatory minimum number of holiday days a company has to offer - currently 28 days - which is good for better work-life balance. Realistically, few people will want to do this, or will try to fiddle the system to get it as holiday. Companies who don't include bank holidays in their holiday entitlement can start doing so to redress the balance.

Don't understand this one at all. It's a typical Labour policy so why it's come from the Tories is beyound me.

Indeed. I meant a reduction in tax rate. How about to Ireland level?

We've already got very competitive CT rates.

I don't see how this is a Labour policy. Capitalism can coexist with treating workers well, and the Tories are a centre-right party so this is a centrist policy.
