    Foodbank stats and stories

We've discussed the effect of benefit sanctions before - some shocking stories here. Seems to be a case of stop benefits first, ask questions later (then take months to sort it out)

    linky

Some of you may be surprised to learn that it's not all benefits scroungers blowing their money on booze and fags before expecting handouts.

been banging on about this for months.

good to see someone joining the fray.

the failure to manage sanctions humanely is a disgrace and a few people need to be sacked.

Conversely like the ATOS assessment properly done it can really help with those that need that push - watch a bit of benefit porn and you will realise the relaxed attitude to being on the Dole is quite common.

Hey? There's a chart on there, which shows, it's mostly all related to benefits or lack of work related issues. With the exception of domestic violence & a couple of minor other issues, all of this can be sorted by getting off ones arse and getting a bloody job.
What happens in General, stays in General.

If you get benefits when you're in work, then you're not working ******* hard enough.

Minimum wage is a living wage. It's just we have to have tellies, cigs, booze, mobile phones, latest clobba from the shop, cars, takeaways, game boys, play stations. People have their priorities the wrong way round.

If you took away tax credit multinationals would have to pay a living wage, at the moment it's just a subsidy from taxpayers to mulitnationals
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.
