    Why do they do it?

Torys are sensible intelligent people. They create the wealth that the left get their hands and squander. They/we believe in individual freedom as the basis for creating wealth and taking collective responsibility for those that are less fortunate in this world. Their biggest task is in dismantling and reforming the stalinesque collectives represented by the NHS and the education system. They are not driven by the envy of others and the lie that the left propagate which is that they care about the poor (they dont).

Why then do they feel the need to do this?

Andrew Neil demolishes “political stunt” Tory letter | LabourList

We already know that the middle class lefties do not like the working classes and the poor, that they exist to be so dependent on welfare and socialist hand outs that they keep voting in Labour. it is no wonder that people are jumping into the hands of UKIP and the Greens

    Vote UKIP

Because they would all sell their grandmother for a vote. They have yet to catch on that the electorate, along with a little help from journos (on the very odd occasion) are not as stupid or behind the times as they would like to think. Any statement that comes out of a politician's trap can be picked apart for what it is with ease. Problem is, there is no viable alternative to the shower of all persuasions that we have available to us.

When the PM thinks that LOL means lots of love, there really is no chance of them actually being credible.

I note that Big Society has morphed into 100 days now. I bet that dies on day 3 (If it's not an SNP/Plaid coalition)

The PM also managed to forget what football team he supports, its all a carefully managed lie that is coming apart at the seams but if the alternative is Millibland, 'Call me Dave' is the lesser of two evils

Letter is pointless anyway. Everybody knows that the self-employed tend to vote Tory, for obvious reasons. Big whoop.

Plus: every headline the Torygraph (once my favourite paper) prints, we can ask "Did HSBC tell you to say that?"

HSBC considers leaving the UK in wake of tax grabs - Telegraph

They should just get on and do it rather than whine and threaten.

Highly educated, and with an immaculate grasp of grammar and spelling.
My subconscious is annoying. It's got a mind of its own.

Serious question as everyone seems to trot that out all the time.

Can anyone name ONE thing (at the risk of this turning into a 'What did the Romans ever do for us discussion), one PRACTICAL thing that the Tories have done in this parliament to improve the climate for micro/small business ??

This statement is lacking much in the way of evidence, especially considering CUK is largely Tory (including myself).

Not much directly. What they have done is that they have returned the economy to one where small businesses flourish just as they did under Thatcher (increasing the market for IT contractors for one http://www.prowess.org.uk/margaret-t...women-business ). Labour kill economies by interfering and trying to manage markets.
