    IPSE CC Elections 2015

IPSE election voting opens this morning at 10:00 and in case you've missed it, there's a couple of CUK regulars standing for the CC: mudskipper and TheFaQQer, and they'd appreciate your vote.

If you're an IPSE member please take the time to head over and vote for them at https://www.ipse.co.uk/ipse-cc-election-2015 Their forum names on IPSE are fionat and mattse respectively - you should be able to find them from these details.

Every CUK vote they get counts because IPSE elections can be particularly fickle due to the way the postal voting works. People that take the time to fully participate in the election forums and who would be excellent CC reps can lose out to postal votes cast by members that know nothing about levels of participation and just go on the scant information in the election statements. Whereas you know mudskipper and TheFaQQer from these forums and from the IPSE forums too (if you frequent them). So please take the time to vote for them. They've put a lot of effort in and they deserve your vote.

If you've lost your IPSE login details then please take the 15 mins or so it'll take to sort the issue out. Both mudskipper and TheFaQQer have each spent hours on the IPSE election forums participating with tenacity and good humour. It would be good if you rewarded them with the time it takes for you to cast your vote.

Finally, I'm standing for the CC too - my initials are SH and my forum name starts with an 'x' hopefully that will be enough of a clue to find me (sorry - I don't want Google directing searches here - hence the subterfuge). I'm not a CUK regular, so it's a bit of a cheek asking you to vote for me but "shy bairns get nowt". Have a look at my election statement - it's quite simple - and chuck a vote my way if you're minded to.

Polls open at 10:00. Vote early. Vote often!

Since you got through despite my removing a number of your posts during moderation (I dislike your name) I'll have to think before electing you but MS and TF have my vote.

FWIW, I met TCD at the IPSE London drinks. IMO, he seems like a top bloke, great sense of humour, speaks his mind and seems to be on the same page as me. I'll be voting for him!

Fair comment. FWIW I looked to see if I could rename my account but couldn't see any option to do so, so ran with the a/c I had..

I haven't met TCD, but he's one of the few candidates that I'm choosing to vote for this morning.

                  And we're off

I've voted for my five preferred candidates (including myself) - the silent ones have done nothing to earn my vote, so I refuse to vote for them. If you cannot engage with the electorate during the campaign, I would worry about their contribution to the CC if elected.

As I've said before, if anyone wants to know my detailed thoughts on the candidates, send me a PM.

Is there going to be a chance of a double vote? i.e. Online and postal? Has that been factored in at all?
