I'm replacing my tired old Athlon desktop PC, so:
AMD Athlon or Pentium with same relative clock speed (I don't need dual processors etc so forget Conroe)?
Don't play games, don't do scientific calculations or CAD, actually I don't do much apart from video coding (occasional) and downloading porn (a lot). I just like the name Athlon more than Pentium, the lower wattage of the chips and the fact that AMD is the underdog. so your answers should be along the lines of an answer to a girl who is influenced only by the colour of a car.
Thanks guys, you will gain tax advice credits.
