    Contrcat notice period

I am trying to negotiate my contract terms, in particular about notice periods.

My contract explicitly states my client has to give me four weeks notice period if they want to terminate my services but there's no mention of what I need to give, should I wish to terminate.

I have told that is because if such a clause is added (to state the notice period I have to give if I want to terminate), that would cause issues re IR35, as it would be deemed that I would have employee relationship.

    Is that true?

Have you had the contract reviewed professionally? Always good advice to do that esp. when the agent is telling lies which if they have really said this, they are.

No termination clause means you can't give notice. Try googling IR35 Notice Period and see if you could have answered the question....

Pay to get the contract looked at by a professional rather than ask random people on a forum.

If you don't know about notice periods who knows what other horrible clauses are in your contract like personal liability.......
