Newcastle & north-east is the only big city actually in the north of England...
patiently waits to reel 'em in... -
It's being lead by a Minister born in Middlesbrough ably assisted by the Conservative MP for Stockton South...
Further north won't matter but we should get decent communication links....merely at clientco for the entertainmentComment

an attempt to corral the North's population of 15 million into a collective force that could begin to rival that of London and the South East.

One time the north south divide was only in the mind, but not anymore . Geographically speaking Copenhagen and Newcastle share the same latitude, so how come Denmark's capital is head over heals better being that far up in the grim north? The simple truth is spending in the UK only favours one corner of it. Unlike here in Germany where spending on infrastructure is country wide, the UK has an incredible bias to only London with the argument that is where the wealth is generated. It seems to me Westminster gave up the idea of a united Kingdom long before devolution began.Last edited by scooterscot; 14 May 2015, 10:53."Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience".
