The Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) is the largest employer in the Civil Service, with nearly 105,000 staff, followed by Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) – (72,740), Ministry of Defence (MoD) - (49,090) and the National Offender Management Service (42,680). Some of the smallest departments, with fewer than 100 employees are the Office for Budget Responsibility (20), Crown Prosecution Inspectorate (30) and Attorney General’s Office (40).

If we hung criminals rather than pander then those numbers could be reduced
How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think

Plus Carrousel (sic) for those over 70 and then DWP can be scaled back

Labour are now totally dead. They only got into power in 1997 by being pseudo-tory. In 13 years they did everything a Tory government would have done.

The unions are now sick of that and want a party to support the working class. Who will vote Labour anyway.

I am concerned there is no effective opposition.

It is somewhat enjoyable seeing Len McCluskey stabbing the knife into the dead corpse at the moment.
