Given the result of the recent general election, I'd think a well-paid exit from the public sector, or any field that is to an extent dependent - even indirectly - on funding controlled by central government, is an opportunity to consider very seriously. Unless, of course, they're likely to offer even more to get rid of you a year from now, when the cuts are really biting.Comment

I got VR from the civil service in 1994 (at a time where CS redundancies weren't that common, so we got great enhancements) and it was by far the best thing I've ever done !!When freedom comes along, don't PISH in the water supply.....Comment
