    Contracting on working visa

My friend is working in the UK on a 'Tier 2 Sponsored Work Visa'. She wants to leave her permanent position and start contracting.

Is she allowed to set up her own limited company and start contracting if she switches to a new visa (maybe Tier 1)?

I've got an idea. How about you log off CUK. Open google type in Tier2 and do some reading? Jesus Christ it's not hard to find out what you can and can't do on a particular Visa.

Any other questions then point her at the immigration forums please.

Tier 1 general is now closed. Her only option is to work with a consultancy company which will take on her tier 2 visa, and 'contract' in this way.
