That Gordon Brown will be a fine Prime Minister

He did his speech today. Lots of good words, like modern, aspiration, the people, wasting money - oops - investment, redistribution of wealth - oops - the strong helping the weak, and so on.

I heard on the radio that Cherie Blair walked out on his speech calling him a liar, after he had waxed lyrical about how pleased he was to have worked for Tony Blair. No mention on BBC yet though.

What he said, and what he meant.....

      What he said:
“I’ve worked with Tony Blair for almost 10 years as Chancellor – the longest relationship of any Prime Minister and Chancellor in history”

      What he meant:
      “For God’s sake, just GO!

      What he said:
“It has been a privilege to work with the most successful ever Labour leader and Labour Prime Minister”

      What he meant:
“There, I’ve said it. NOW will you feck off!”

      What he said:
“In the time we’ve been MPs – working together for more than 23 years – I believe that we have real achievements together”

      What he meant:
“We’ve really fecked things up big time. That’ll teach them for voting the Tories in all those years, heh, heh”

      What he said:
“It’s hardly surprising that there have been times when we have differed. Over the years differences have distracted from what matters, I regret that , as I know Tony does too”

      What he meant:
“Just think how much more damage we could have done if we hadn’t spent that time arguing”

      What he said:
“Tony, from the first time we shared that office together in 1983 to today, you taught our party, you saw it right – you saw it clearly and you saw it through”

      What he meant:
“Now the people can see through it too, so please FECK OFF NOW!!!!!”
      Boom boom boom boom
      A-haw haw haw haw

Only heard the usual soundbites, but they were enough to give me chills. He is looking to reduce everyone to the same level to enjoy his 'socialist paradise'. Anyone looking to do anything based on merit, free enterprise and effort is in real trouble with this puritanical dinosaur in charge. Yes, Blair was on the same page but at least he made a feeble attempt to pretend otherwise initially. What a mess, only hope is people decide they want a change and give Cameron a run out, perfect he isn't (don't go too mad on the green stuff Dave) but basic principles of a meritocracy has got to be better than this peasant pleasing, it's all society's fault, tax & spend mob.

How long did his speech last? He could have just said:

          ...and had a longer lunch.

Did he mention fair or fairness?

How many times did he mention the word "prudent"?

No. His spin meisters have declared that a non-word.

Here are some more of Brown's non-words:

miserable, lonely, closet, homosexual, control, freak, dour, mean, spiteful, envious, paranoid, presbyterian, sour, faced, tight, wad, jock

You've come right out the other side of the forest of irony and ended up in the desert of wrong.
