You could not make this up

Cherie Bliar walks out of Brown's speech today muttering liar.

On saturday Cherie's sister lead the protest in manchester demanding Tony Blair's resignation.

Why was this reported in New Zealand and ignored by the UK press?

Slow news day in NZ perhaps (but what day isn't?)

If this was true, the UK journos would be wildly all over it. They aren't - ergo.

You've come right out the other side of the forest of irony and ended up in the desert of wrong.

Personally I think the sheep should be worried. This is just another bit of spin to push the real problems in NZ off the front page.

No doubt for some it's going to be a good day to try out those new gumboots.

The first person in the video link below is Cherie Blair's sister and the Uk journos did ignore her. The fact that this has been reported in New Zealand and not in the UK is worrying. Is our news censored?

Seems it's split down the political fault line on this one...

No they didn't. I saw her on the BBC news on the telly and the presenter pointed out it was Blair's sister-in-law leading the protest. She's really a half-sister-in-law. Lauren Booth is a well known journo and anti-war activist and daughter of Tony Booth from one of his four marriages. Cherie was from his first marriage and Lauren (also known as Sarah) was from his third. There are eight Booth sisters altogether.

Well, he certainly put it about a bit. Apparently Cherie was a product of his marriage to Gale Smith, who was a good Roman Catholic ...I can hear Chico approaching... and probably well before he became a full-time alcoholic.

                    The surprising thing

Would not be catching one of our beloved politicians out in a lie, it would have been if they were caught telling the truth.

imagine if he had actually said :

Blah Blah, sold the NHS cheap to private investors, blah blah, forced wage demands down by importing cheap staff, blah blah, joined in a phoney war to push up oil stocks etc
Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.
