    Chartered or not Chartered Accounts

Whats the difference here? Turns out my accountants are not chartered. Does it amount to a hill of beans?
What happens in General, stays in General.

Anyone with half an active brain cell would have either: (a) posted that question in Accounting & Legal, or (b) Just****inggooggledit.

Basically somebody has checked that a chartered accountant knows what they are doing, while the other guy may be blagging it all the way, which is not great since he isn't liable if he fecks up, you are!!

            ...ah means they're "Certified" Accountants.

You see there are Chartered Accountants and Certified Accountants

This a bit like the difference between a Doctor and A Nurse or an Engineer or a Technician.
