Greeks to be kept in Penury

Eurozone 'agreement' on Greece debt - BBC News

Somewhat predictably a last minute deal seem to have been struck to "help" Greece.

The experiment was never going to be allowed to fail. I don't believe for a second that this will be the best thing for Greece as a nation, although it is the only acceptable outcome for the EU as a whole.

I have been living in a cave the last three months so missed the Greek crisis.

Good news is I believe it will be repeated shortly.

The Greeks have just been given a lesson in why voting "No" to offers of EU help is a bad idea.

No different from taking the credit cards away from a spendthrift who doesn't know how to save.

Once they have money in the bank and can be trusted not to blow it all on shoes they'll probably get them back.

I have a feeling that when you drive around Greece in 10 years time it will look like a mediteranean Germany.
            I'm alright Jack

The idea was to help the old eastern bloc after reuniciation, to help create a more European Germany, in essance what they got was a German Europe instead

Someone on Radio 4 said exactly that this morning.
I'm not even an atheist so much as I am an antitheist; I not only maintain that all religions are versions of the same untruth, but I hold that the influence of churches, and the effect of religious belief, is positively harmful. [Christopher Hitchens]

You think I am clever enough to make this up myself
