Apple Pay - who's used it today?

My local Waitrose don't know anything about it

    Might try my local Boots.

The new cashless revolution might take a few more days to reach the sticks

If Apple decided to open a bank then most of the high-street banks would be dead within 5 years.

Knock them all you want, but without them we'd all still have a nokia brick phone and a mini disc player, yes they are rarely the first to market, but they have very few misses in a catalogue of hits.

All the Android manufacturers were pushing NFC for this sort of thing a couple of years ago, but Apple point blank refused to build it into the iPhone.

              From Apple:

One touch to pay with Touch ID. Now paying in stores happens in one natural motion — there’s no need to open an app or even wake your display thanks to the innovative Near Field Communication antenna in iPhone 6.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

The innovation is that they have actually implemented it in a way that banks accept as secure...

Last week they cloned Spotify AND claimed to have re-imagined radio. Which I took to mean "cloned Radio 1".

But when they do anything they do it with a lot of style.

                    Roll on AppleBank.
