    My Photography Attempts

Getting to grips with Macro mode on the "new" camera.

    Pics from Stopsley Common today.

Hope someone enjoys them as much as I do.

Knock first as I might be balancing my chakras.

I bought some cheap screw on macro lenses for my telephoto lens the other day. They work surprisingly well but are a sod to focus manually.

I'm a total novice. This is a second hand Fuji Finepix S200EXR bought from my neighbour. One lense is all you get.

But for a Rookie it's good enough.

I like that I had a free trip to the common, really had a great time with my kids scampering after a grasshopper with them all on their elbows willing me to get a great shot and then the fun of sitting in the coffee shop afterwards sipping lemonade and discussing the photos.

Then hours afterwards viewing them on the laptop in wonderment at the beauty of these insects. I think I am hooked on photography straight away.

I'm sure perseverance will mean you will soon be able to post far superior shots and encourage me to buy bigger and better gear.

I've just just been salivating over this bad boy

            The Canon ME20F-SH

$30K is a bit steep though

Me too, while I'm in a dilemma over upgrading a 7D or a 5DII (or both)

For macro, smartphones and compact cameras do a great job, even compared to dSLRs
