The downside is that my accountant has just pointed out that I'm going to have to leave the FRS for VAT this year :ohwell

It sucks when your company income exceeds £150,000 pa doesn't it. I cried for a week when that happened. Same when my house doubled in value a few years back. Life can be mean.

Two weeks off at the end of this month. Already allowed for that :ohwell

Would need to take another month off at some point, but that's going to be difficult while keeping 3 clients happy.

Next renewal with Client A is now due at the end of February next year. If they don't renew then I can lose enough in March to stay under the limit going into 16/17, if they do then I'd lose more in revenue that I'd save on VAT by taking a month off.

And Client C are making noises about more work coming later this year so I may just have to suck it up as the price of success.

Umm, no, thats the limit for being able to JOIN the scheme. The upper limit where you are forced to leave is a bit higher than that....
