Superyachts in demand as shipbuilder Pendennis rides a wave

Superyacht builder Pendennis is on the crest of a wave with annual sales rising by more than £1m to £35.2m as ultra-rich sailors continued to buy its luxury vessels.

Results filed at Companies House showed that Pendennis, which builds and refits some of the world’s most stunning yachts, generated 85pc of its revenue from exports as billionaires were drawn to its Falmouth base.

Pre-tax profit for the year ending December 2014 fell by 18.3pc to £1.9m as the private company invested £9.5m over the period extending its facilities as part of a multi-year £22.5m improvement programme.

if turnover really is 35 million, I reckon they must only make 2 of these a year max. That looks at least a 20 million pound boat.

Not for all contractors mind, some can't even afford to buy their own home
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

Pah. Contractors cannot afford these types of boats. Only top notch executives. I'll have two.
