    Bye bye ISIS

They might be in a bit of trouble now...

Russia, Egypt support forming anti-ISIS coalition with Syria - Putin

“We underline the fundamental importance of the formation of a broad anti-terrorist front involving key international players and regional countries, including Syria,” Putin said on Wednesday.

“We have common views on the need to intensify the fight against international terrorism, which is relevant, considering the aggressive ambitions of radical structures, particularly the so-called Islamic State.”
After a year of being bombed by us and the US they are still stronger than ever and gaining ground...

Let's see what happens when they are up against a force that actually intends to take them out.

This could get ugly and very messy...

This is more likely Putin having a foothold in the region than giving a tulip about terrorism. He's probably more concerned the US win the battle and build a large military base there.

He's building trading routes. Very clever.

It's definitely strategic and trade related, this is why the US couldn't invade Syria to get rid of Assad in 2013. Russia vetoed it in the UN and it was made clear that another illegal war would not be 'allowed'.

Unlike Iraq America didn't just stick 2 fingers up at the UN and go in anyway so there was clearly a big bear standing in the way

Then Ukraine kicked off and ISIS appeared out of nowhere....

Russia has supported Syria and Iran for a while now. I think we're at the line in the sand now.

Hmm so if the Russians say “let’s send in the troops & clear the terrorists” will the others (UK, USA, EU et al.) follow?

If not “Russia is the world police force who go where other are afraid”

If they do “Russia leads the cowardly West to fight for freedom”

I wonder if ISIS will respond with another fund raising event in Swindon?

The rise of ISIS is Russia's fault in the first place. By continuing to support the Assad regime the Free Syrian army never could succeed, the chaos this created opened the door for ISIS to grow

They have their own transport company too, that might be a good start!
