Geek Attack: What did you used to play?

One for the closet gamers. Back in the day (70s and 80s) when days were long, time seemed limitless, and everyone seemed to be talking about or playing D&D what FRPG* floated your boat?

    * I might get around to other genres later if I can be arsed.

Or, in other words - how I became a software developer.

Those of us who aren't code-monkeys were probably out playing football...

      Older and ...well, just older!!

You could still go out and play football after slaying evil nasties

I was a shop manager for Games Workshop before going to University and competed in the world Warhammer championships sometime in 1980's where I never lost!!! Never lost I tell ya!!!

Star Wars roleplay was quite good

Due to the limit on the number of options, I stuck to the original wave of FRPGs only (so WFRP shouldn't be there really). Other sad and notable omissions: Call of Cthulhu, Space Opera, Champions, Boot Hill, En Garde, GURPS, etc., etc.
