    Flu jab time - £10 before 16/9.

Worth every penny. £10 at boots before 16 september.

£10 and taking a small prick - worth not losing a few days billing over ;-)

They will start selling them in tablet form soon but that statement will still apply.

I don't think I've ever had the Flu jab - or do schools give it out to pupils? If so the one I got in 199x has been working well the last 15 or so years

if you've not had one before make sure you tell them everything you're allergic to - otherwise you might lose more days billing from the injection than getting flu...

i was dead for a week after a flu jab because i'm allergic to raw eggs and (i've since found out) the vaccines are made using chicken embryos, and the friendly bupa nurse (late 40s bearded man) dishing them out at old permieCo didn't bother to warn me/ask me

Nah. You can get it free on the NHS only if you're in one of the at risk groups I think. Elderly, asthma etc.

Biggest waste of time ever, as flu mutates all the time.
I know a number of people that have been ill for months after taking it.
We are being given the hard sell on it due to the NHS ordering too much stock.

                For those reasons I'm out.

WHS. I think I've had the flu once in about 25 years. I may get the odd sniffle / cold for a few days, but I can go to work and some losenges are fine.
