        Interesting

Is it the fault of the government

or is it the fault of the greedy feckers who knew damn well the loans were not for them but thought so what and did it anyway

ok the rules and controls should have been better but is it acceptable to just grab grab grab just because you can?

I don't know, those money grabbing contractors that flagrantly avoided paying NI would say "it was legal so what"

In my opinion something like this should be written to avoid the wrong people claiming, its not Rocket science

(either applicant / owner Earnings > average) or (any applicant not first property purchase) = refusal.

                Er, why is that f***witted?

These days even £100K a year doesn't allow much of a mortgage, as a multiple of income, compared with the prices of most family houses.

Also, shifting a few medium income families into "better" houses, makes more opportunities for buyers into the low end.

You sound like another smug old "veteran?" house owner, like FatLazyContractor, out of touch with the realities of today's property market.

Less NICs, less massive fuel duty etc etc - can somebody on £100k afford a private school for just one of their children? Can't see that being possible, so how can it be called rich?
