How much pocket money to give wife ?

hi there,
the missus has just given up work and was wondering how much I should be giving her per month.

I have now assumed payment of all bills, mortgage,childcare arrangements, so she pays nothing.

She is not a chelsea housewife so how much is fair per month ?

should i also assume that she will be saving as well ?

As a rule I'd say as much as you've got, as often as you can, for as long as you can. Safest option all round.

To be replaced by shoes, shoes, more shoes, items marked "to be returned", Silly useless items which she boought because "she was thinking of you". And when you're out dining, she'll say - "no, wait, I'll pay for it". And then pull out the card for the joint account.

Since my other half gave up work, I now fully pay for the mortgage/bills & give her £500. She's still getting maternity leave of £400ish p/m - plus she just inherited something like 30k from an aunt
