    For dear old Freako, this relates to some unfortunate who fell into a pothole & got tarmaced over.

    It would never happen in this country since they don't bother filling in the potholes in the first place.

      The free school meals idea, and corresponding building programme to facilitate it, was Clegg's baby. Presumably they let him have that so he'd shut up about other stuff. It was never going to be sustainable, but who cares when you're spending other people's money?

        It's completely sustainable financially - the cost of such a scheme is peanuts in relative terms.
