What do you say your profession is

When asked for it when filling out a form?
Director (assuming you're Ltd company director) or what you actually do ie Project manager, software developer, BA, etc

Depends what they want to hear, so either Director or Software Engineer
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

      Depends on the context

"IT Contractor" usually, or maybe "nipple tweaker"

              Director. Managing Director. IT Consultant.

One of those, depending on who is asking.

If it's insurance I choose one that is truthful but will give me the lowest quote - being a company director tends to be more expensive.

Otherwise it's whatever people want to hear.

In social situations I normally say that I talk bulltulip for a living. If I need to be polite I say I work in IT.

On a form, a put something that the reader/form processor will understand, depending on context.

Tip: never put 'manager' I read some time ago that it's a very bad answer on credit application forms since managers tend to have poor job security.
