Can't get fibre - any other options?

Anyone not in a fibre area who knows of any reasonably priced options for super fast broadband that don't involve waiting for the dynamic and oft praised BT to get their finger out?

Leased lines used to be an option but were serious money - wondering if there are any clever folks who have found any natty ways round the interminable wait?

    Move?

Long wire to a friend's house?

(Actually there are people that have used WiFi to do this).
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

Satellite? (can be iffy, can be expensive)
Microwave? (longer range than wifi, can be very expensive, but if there are several buildings involved, you could set up a neighbourhood one)
…Maybe we ain’t that young anymore

How about downloading and zipping up the entire internet whilst at work? That way you can peruse it at your leisure.

Alternatively create your own rival internet for you and your neighbours over WiFi.

How's it going? Have you finished the sites beginning with A yet?

Got a quote here in Leeds for FTTP 100mB/s synchronous uncontended, £3500 setup fee waved, £260 a month, plus VAT.

                Not paying that!!

                  4G tethering?

A bloke at my current site uses two bonded ADSL lines.
