    Advice needed - Wet room

I have been planning on upgrading our shower for a while, and we have decided to go for a wet room. Anyone had any experience or advice on cost/ problems etc

    TIA

What is the current floor made of? Concrete or suspended timber?

must be the latter, because it's upstairs.

What kind of flooring you going to have laid - lots of pre-made forms available - as long as you get the tanking right it's a PoP

I looked at it as an option about 8 years ago, I knocked it back after horror stories of leaky floor trays, indifferent tiling and the likes. The cost profile made little sense in the long run.

It's entirely possible that there are better materials available now, but I'd say get a decent professional involved, one with a good reputation, it was an expensive option when I looked at it for a reasonably small room.

I have one next to the pool and sauna. Builders did the whole job though, so no idea how they did it.

Blimey, are they back in fashion!

I would use roofing membrane, pool liner or fibreglass, and make sure the bog roll is in some kind of container so that it doesn't get soggy.

Does your gimp really need a wet room ?
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.
