    Advice needed - White Room

I'm playing Dm F G Bb C, with the Dm at the 10th fret and the F and G from the 8th to the 10th, but it doesn't sound right and doesn't have the bass note going down as the record sounds. I can play Dm at the 5th fret and then the F and G going down to the 1st and 3rd, but that doesn't sound quite right either.

The problem is I'm totally hopeless at playing by ear and spend ages trying to figure what note it is I heard. I then resort to trying all of them, but none of them then sound right. And every time I vary it I end up with either Stairway to Heaven or Smoke on the Water.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

Use your fingers like any rational guitarist, it may sound less like a cat being strangled.

Surely you need the KLF in the White Room
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

Is it possible that the descending bass is being played on a bass rather than lead/rhythm?

What source did you use for the chords?
Which recording are you listening to?
…Maybe we ain’t that young anymore

I used to use my teeth, until my dentist advised against it.
