Join the RAC / AA at your London address, make sure you have recovery to home cover & then call in a breakdown from Edinburgh (make sure it's not fixable at the roadside though)

When we broke down RAC used a local company to come rescue us from Yorkshire. The company was based near Scotch Corner and were quite nice, I assume they'd quote you.

Might be a Robin reliant. Not sure if it can accomodate us well endowed people in the belly/fat department.
