Scotland has had the power to change income tax by 6% for years now, they never have. They won't change them when they get these powers either.

They wont raise them as they know fine well people will just move their tax affairs to England (like me) , 5% in Scotland pay 40% of the tax so can't upset them.

They cant drop them as they have been banging on about Nordic socialism for years with its pay more to get more mantra.

Nothing will happen of any note and in the end the SNP will look lame which is why they are being given the new powers by the tories.

You can fully expect some kind of "we never got as much power as we wanted so refuse to use what we were given" line from the SNP which will keep their moronic supporters gurning for a few more years.

SNP said they want 50% income tax. They need revenues to fund their socialist ideals, so surely 50% tax is a given, especially that fooking Tories did not drop 45% to 40%, so it's easy to add another 5%.

They wanted 50% in the UK, not Scotland.

As I said they are making noises about rejecting the use of the powers so they don't have to make any decision because they can't make a decision for the reasons I stated above.

Scotland gets quite a bit more money per person that the rest of the Britain, almost 2 grand per head, to spend on public services.

That is what we use to fund our worse NHS, worse police force and worse education system, no need for tax rises.
