    Breeding pedigree dogs

Just lent my neighbour a monkey towards a pedigree French bulldog pup (male), which she bought for £1500 yesterday.

Some of these pups sell for several thousand pounds. So I'm considering buying a female pedigree French bulldog and breeding them for sale, and she is enthusiastic about the idea.

Anyone tried this, or know someone who has? Any downsides? I have the space, and she would be able to look after the pups while I was away. So it seems like money for old rope, even if I cut her in for say 30%.

Do you not see anything wrong in this?

Oh dear, you've hit one of my pet peeves - puppy farmers. (sorry, dog breeders)

Do you know how many dogs are in rescue centres/waiting to be rehomed because they are either not the current fashionable "pedigree", or are "mongrels"

If you are going to get a dog, rescue one.

If you are wanting to make money, buy a woman, force her to have sex with her father, uncles, cousins and brothers to produce babies every year for 20 years, then have her murdered. Think of the money you can make selling babies. Far more profitable.
…Maybe we ain’t that young anymore

Yes. You have to have dogs.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

Maybe, but it's the same thing. Forcing a creature to have sex with their family and then sell their babies so you can make a profit from people who want babies who look a particular way.

Is it the same thing? Where do you live ? Some remote part of Wales or something ?

I'm going inside now to have a cuddle with my 2 mutts.
