When you read something like this: Airlines to return British holidaymakers from Egypt without hold luggage | World news | The Guardian (http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/nov/05/british-holidaymakers-sharm-el-sheikh-egypt-without-hold-luggage) you know they're winning. People are stranded, flights are being stopped, security is being upgraded, the west is slowing down because of all the overheads that this is bringing in and so now they know they only have to start making serious threats, let off a bomb or two and the western world will slow start to close in on itself becoming insular and scared of the dark. The decline of the western civilisation has started and we're bringing it upon ourselves...

Agreed. We need to shoot all the lawyers. And develop some stiff upper lip.

They are not winning.

They won about 35 years ago. As soon as we gave up freedoms in the name of security we surrendered.

There is no way a Squarehead can take on a sophisticated scouser

I thought I'd resurrect this as we're now seeing more and more of this thing and its only going to get worse, they're sowing the seeds of distrust among everyone which is part of their aim:

(Sorry for DM links but they were in other papers as well)

The official line on the Bristol coach passenger is that he had bulky luggage (a printer was mentioned) and refused to put it in the luggage compartment; when staff insisted, he became abusive, so he was ordered off the coach.

Of course there are always jobsworths who will be only to happy to claim that an entirely innocent remark, or even a facial expression, constitutes abuse. But equally, there are always arseholes who treat people that are just trying to do their job like shit.

So who knows what the truth of the matter is :eyes

Travelling for an eye checkup, dressed like he's out of central casting for a Desert Storm movie?

Some people just want others to be offended by / scared of them. No different to punks, etc. Except punks didn't go whining to the papers when they got kicked out of places for looking shifty.
