    Historic crimes

Operation Yewtree was essential. Historic assault after 40 years is a slightly greyer area but clearly still should be investigated :-
Man sentenced 40 years after knocking out sister's two front teeth in row over John Lennon Christmas record - Telegraph

Is there a trend emerging here though? Should I be worried about pulling my sister's hair? Can I sue my brother for locking me in a wardrobe?

It's a bit like BN66 really. These people need to be brought to justice regardless if what they did was illegal at the time or not.

It doesn't say how old the sister is/was, but it says he's 61 so would have been 21. If she was much younger then it's probably fair enough that he's prosecuted.
