    Makes me laugh

The helpdesk (recently outsourced to India) want an incident resolved because it's been given high priority. They fail to understand that just because it's high priority for them (they'll have failed to hit their target), it's not high priority for the rest of us.

I've given two technical solutions (neither of which the helpdesk people actually understand), but the people who would choose which solution to implement are both on leave, and nobody else actually gives a toss. Helpdesk in panic.

Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!

I'm surprised they haven't logged this and just closed the incident.

When I was looking at incident log discrepancies on a follow-the-sun Service Desk we discovered that when it got close to SLA breach the Indian SD were telling the users to close the incident an log a new one. Many of the users were doing as instructed..

Ours must be a bit smarter then as they either drop the severity or put on hold awaiting customer response. According to the stats the last internet outage it took 15 seconds to fix.

Have you asked them to do the needful, or suggested outsourcing their work to Bob Shawadiwadi ?
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

All a bit racist this post isn't it. Perhaps if you all worked together as a team, then this mistrust wouldn't happen.

Had an irate user today who reckons their call is urgent and had to be fixed today. Their calendar background has changed colour in outlook and they don't like it. Seriously.
