I saw a 15-page thread on Top Gear and tl;dr'ed it without hesitation.

I only really had 2 problems with Top Gear:
1. Clarkson is an arsehole.
2. Evans unfailingly annoys the bejasus out of me.

3. One of my biggest problems with CUK is finding myself keeping the company of people who don't see either of those highly reasonable points, leading me to believe that:
4. Maybe I don't belong here; and
5. I'm OK with that, perhaps proud of it.

I think these are fair points, though I would say JC is an amusing arsehole.

I don't think I've seen/heard Evans on TV or radio for a decade. I've heard he's mellowed a lot but maybe not enough?

That is true. Even if he's a bit much it does do us good to have some colourful, more extreme people to balance things out.
