    Do You Eat Al Desko?

Previous occupant of my desk certainly did.

Crumbs of Bombay mix in the keyboard, various (hopefully) food related stains on my chair.

And don't even get me started on people whose first act of the working day is to chow down on their breakfast before they even think about the first key stroke...

As long as you're charging the client while masticating then I don't see the problem.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

I leave the first key stroke till I'm at home, how rude to be doing that at work
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

Flash wipes are essential for desk cleaning - irrespective of eating habits.

Ah yes 'the perfect permie' at their desk at 8.30 - 30 minutes before they are due to start at nine.... but then spend 1 hour having breakfast, taking a tulip, reading the paper and then start work at 9.30 and achieve the bare minimum

as opposed to the guy who arrives at 8.58 and starts working straight away and actually makes a difference throughout the day.

Obviously middle management Muppets prefer the first as they look good by being at their desk 30 minutes early.

I'll eat at my desk if I want. My working practices allow it.

Eating and drinking at desks was banned at one client co due to 'elf n safety. Evidently a permie spilled hot curry over themselves and "had to be taken to hospital" so after that it was forbidden.

Good policy actually. Nothing worse than some goon stuffing a stinking curry into their faces all day 5 feet away.
