    Taking one for the Team

Start my new contract on Monday. Yesterday one of the guys screwed up some work for about the fifth time, but this was his last chance. Cut a long story short - I put my hand up to say that I worked on it and the mistake was my fault.

Needless to say the PM wasnt too happy, but as Im off next week and my work standard has been high(to say the least) it was all forgotten and the chap keeps his job.

Who else has ever taken one for the team?

                    One question

Why do you choose to tarnish your reputation, if this guy has cocked things up 5 times?

Do you think you will need his support one day?

If your work is good and his is carp why do you do it. You can be the hero but most people will not return the favour?

All is fair in love, war and work and his incompetance is not your problem, or am I being simplistic here
