Mobile phone networks in the UK

Are there any that are paying some UK tax, using UK workers rather than barely english speaking overseas call centres, that actually have a signal that works sometimes and where "customer services" doesn't involve a 3 hour wait to get through?

    Just wondered like.

Of course. They are all fantastic, so good in fact that the Government are mad keen on porting the Blue Light Services onto EE as a way of saving money.

EE to deliver critical 4G network for Britain’s Emergency Services

Given EE are being bought by BT, it kind of makes sense.

Can you explain? BT used to own O2. Didn't stop their network being lousy.

EE & BT combined should provide best network coverage. BT already had the MVNO agreement in place with EE, so it knows what it's buying into; no doubt a better offering than its previous one. BT being UK-based will probably be paying their fair share of tax, which will appease the tax mafia.

Oh I see where you are coming from. I was less concerned with the Tax implications than the complete inadequacy of their mobile network to cater for the rather extreme demands of a blue light service.
