    Free logo design

    Hi,

I don't want to pay the odd £30-100 for some of the websites or design folks available and yes I'm that cheap.

Anyone know a website that actually does it for free?

So you don't want it to look professional then?
How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think

Write out company name in Helvetica font. It is going to be better than anything less than £1k.

        +1(ish)

Do it in a series of colours/fonts and see which looks best.

I'd avoid colours. Too much can go wrong when printed in monochrome. A logo has to work in black & white, colour, grayscale, print, screen, relief, different scales and so on.

Oh I agree, I'm thinking more dark blue or other industry-appropriate colours. Looks more cheerful on headed paper and other materials (business cards, etc.)

Just don't hire the contractor whose dubious web searches found it.

Sure, post your company name and details here and I'm sure we can come up with something...
