What should I be buying in Osaka?

OK, since this place is full of international jet-setters, tell me what is cheap in Japan, or where should I be shopping when out there with ClientCo.

I might be interested in getting some camera gear (Canon), maybe something from Apple or a watch, but is there anything that is particularly good value out there?

Go to Yodobashi Camera in Umeda for electronics, it's a 7 floor massive complex that sells absolutely *everything* and you can get all kinds of weird japanese tulip as well. When I went many years ago there were like three huge aisles of novelty stuff like USB hubs, keyboards and other peripherals. A floor for software, cameras, computers, everything. There are some nice restaurants on the top floor too.

Also check out Tokyu Hands in Shinsaibashi for other interesting bits and bobs.

Apart from that, get as much delicious food in you as possible. Okonomiyaki, takoyaki, ramen, yakitori, yakiniku, izakaya food/drink, sushi, even their indian stuff is pretty good (although very mild). I'd also recommend a trip to Tennoji up the tower, and then eat some Kushikatsu from the street just outside it (Daruma is my restaurant of choice). There's a fantastic sushi place down that street as well, on the left (or on the right if you're coming from doubutsuenmae station).

Nah, it's all censored in Japan, you want the export stuff.

              According to my mate

Unfortunately your mate is wrong. Those days were long gone

Why else do you think Markymark is heading to Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan shortly?

Thank you. Yodobashi is not far from the hotel - and there's a Tokyu Hands near there too.
