Best time of the year to look for a gig

When is the best time of the year to look for a new contract?

For me it's June, tell me your thoughts.

    Thanks

Seems reasonable. The question has been asked often enough.

June 12th. Around 15.20. Don't opt out. Haggle hard.

        See you then.

I look forward to your all knowing and likely sarcastic and unhelpful reply.

December the 25th, around midnight, it has to be snowing and the cows have to be lying down, a North Westerly wind helps too.

For me it's a short time after you've finished the previous one.

Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

Probably about 2-4 weeks before your current one runs out.

How come Elton John gets older and older but his hair gets younger and younger?

There is no best time, the preconditions, decisions and reasons that clients need a contractor are never based on time of year. I have had contracts in almost any month including right before xmas.

                    When you need* one

*Note: your definition of "need" will vary if you are married.
