How to make a small fortune out of building British sports cars.

Start off with a big fortune.

New TVR sports cars to be built in Wales

For dear old Freako, this relates to the decision to start building TVR sports cars in Wales.

    There's tidy then.

    Gilbern would be proud.

Aston Martin are going to start production of the DBX in Wales as well

I wonder if the two items are related
How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think

Are they getting some subsidy from some Welsh Assembly fund? (Or English tax payers as they should be called)

Aston Martin will be based near the RAF St Athan base which is just down the road from British Airways' Maintenance Centre. So lots of locals who know how to use a spanner.

I was going to say it has to be a better sticker than "Proudly built in Gaydon"

            But that would be crass

They are selling off a few sheep to fund it.

What chance has TVR got when Jaguar have the F Type and Porsche have the 911?

And below those are a load of track day specials from the likes of Radical and Ariel?

TVR was never in the same market as Jags and Porsches. For around 30k upwards you could get a stonking great V8 full of fun that was happy on the track and the road.

You think the new TVR will be around £30K when a new Fiesta can cost £18K with a 1.0 engine?

                    In 1995 maybe.
