    Google harvesting CV's?

    Anyone else get this impression?

I provide my CV online in XML and got a reply saying:

"We received your resume and would like to thank you for your interest in
Google. After carefully reviewing your experience and qualifications, we
have determined that we do not have a position available which is a strong
    match at this time.

Thanks again for considering Google. We wish you well in your endeavors
and hope you might consider us again in the future.

    Sincerely,
    Google Staffing"

I wouldnt comment except that they have not actually looked at my resume. (My access logs are clear on this) Also, I applied for a role that I have performed at a very high level for many years)

Have they put HAL9000 in charge of HR?

Damn straight. I went for a DHL job and even though you couldnt find people with the ix of skills that they wanted I didnt get the job or even a reply. I mean how many warehouse building, logistics analyst, multi-language (mostly perl and C based), SQL and UNIX trained people do you know of? This job was at £25k/year.

So I decided to become a contractor and got the same job in the same team and was interviewed by the same HR person as I had originally e-mailed my CV to for a lowly £450 a day.

For soem reason I dont feel too bad about not having the perm job.
